Contract Packagers are Choosing Pack Expo 2014

PMMI, owner and producer of Pack Expo International 2014, and the Contract Packaging Association are bringing a new feature – the Contract Packaging Association Sourcing Center – to Pack Expo International and the co-located Pharma Expo this fall, Nov. 2-5 at McCormick Place, Chicago.

The new show feature, on the Grand Concourse adjacent to the Association Pavilion, will be a showcase for the capabilities of contract packagers, and a tremendous resource to Pharma Expo as well as Pack Expo attendees.

“In addition to the CPA members who will exhibit there, the Contract Packaging Association Sourcing Center will feature a display of innovative packages alongside experts who can speak to the benefits of using contract packagers,” says Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI. “It will be a tremendous resource for both Pack Expo and Pharma Expo attendees."

PMMI anticipates the two events will draw a combined 50,000 attendees, with 2,000 exhibitors in 1.1 million net square feet of exhibit space.

“The opportunity to collaborate with PMMI is very exciting. Pack Expo consistently attracts top-level brands and buyers, and they are the target market for our messages about the role contract packagers can play," says CPA President Chris Nutley, president of MSW Packaging. “This gives us a chance to present a full spectrum of contract packaging solutions and knowledge at the most comprehensive packaging and processing trade show in North America this year.”

Pack Gives Back Series Continues with Jay Leno Performance

PMMI announces this year’s Pack Expo International and Pharma Expo will host its Pack Gives Back event featuring a performance from comedian Jay Leno. Processing, Packaging Industry Groups Converge at Pack Expo

Reston, Va.-based PMMI announces that more than 30 packaging and processing professional associations from around the world will be on hand at Pack Expo International 2014 (McCormick Place, Chicago; Nov. 2–5) in the Association Pavilion. PMMI invited the organizations to exhibit as part of the Pack Expo Partner Program, a program that strengthens industry connections.

The co-location of Pharma Expo strengthens the potential connections even further, notes Jim Pittas, vice president of trade shows for PMMI. “The Pack Expo tradeshows are about bringing the industry together—the entire packaging and processing supply chain—to spur innovation,” he says. “With 50,000 attendees expected at Pack Expo International and Pharma Expo, Pack Expo Partners will enjoy the opportunity to network with packaging and processing professionals and other like-minded associations.”

PMMI’s mission centers on convening the packaging and processing supply chain, Pittas explains, and PEPP is a component of achieving that mission. “PEPP is a clear example of how the packaging and processing communities come together at the Pack Expo shows,” he says. “PMMI knows how important our association partnerships are to furthering our industries and our missions. The partnership program opens the door to building and strengthening those partnerships.”
