New Era Converting Machinery, Inc. has hired Aurelian (Ray) Coca, a 25-year veteran in web converting, as its new project manager. 

Advanced Web Technologies, LLC (AWT), a leading provider of pressure-sensitive labels and flexible packaging, has been acquired by Milwaukee private equity firm Mason. The acquisition occurred on June 5. 

 With close to 600 attendees, the 2015 Global Pouch Forum – held from June 10-12 at the InterContinental Miami – was the largest to date in 18 years of the event. It kicked off June 10 with the TAPPI PLACE Flexible Packaging Symposium and pre-conference tour of Karlville’s Miami headquarters and technology center, and continued with education session and networking. Mactac has selected two new vice presidents to join the company's leadership team at its headquarters in Stow, Ohio. Chad Oney assumed the role of vice president of operations effective as of January 2015, and Ken Pratt began his assignment as vice president of global procurement effective as of December 2014.
