AJ Adhesives, Mid-America Packaging Acquire Wes Adhesives
AJ Adhesives and Mid-America Packaging (MAP) have acquired Wes Adhesives, Inc., a full-line adhesive and adhesive application equipment distributor.
Since 1981, the Westerlund family and Wes Adhesives have operated out of Carrollton and Houston, Texas, serving markets in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Wes joins AJ and MAP’s operations in Dallas and Houston.
The union of these companies is a natural fit, as all players believe in focusing on the customer. AJ and MAP, already serving the same geographic area, look to continue growth in Texas, as well as promoting/selling other product lines in all the companies’ geographies.
After the merger, each company will operate as it currently does, experiencing only minor changes to transition to our operating platform. Wes Adhesives personnel are joining our AJ & MAP team and will be vital in assisting the transition.
Last July, AJ and MAP acquired Adhesives Plus, also branched in Texas.
