Amid double-digit growth and the need for more space and personnel, UBE America Inc. (UAI) has moved its American headquarters to Livonia, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.

UAI has served the North American market for more than 50 years, and since 2004 was operating out of two U.S. locations – New York City and Wixom, Michigan. UAI’s recent HQ move, which took place in November 2018 and also includes UBE Development America (UDA), integrates all of UAI’s departments in a single central location with a space that’s more than double that of the company’s combined previous offices. The move will facilitate better communication and collaboration, and increased requirements of UAI’s expanding business.

In addition to its new HQ, its sister company UBE Machinery (UMI) recently completed a 20,000 square-foot expansion of its manufacturing site, which is located near Ann Arbor, Michigan. The addition doubles the assembly plant’s annual capacity.
