WITT Gas Highlights Enhanced LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 for Leak Detection

WITT Gas, a global leader in gas safety, control, and analysis solutions, is highlighting its enhanced LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2, which is a reliable, fast, and user-friendly leak tester now available with two new, larger chambers. Designed to test the leak-tightness of modified atmosphere packaging, the LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 now offers food producers four chamber sizes, allowing them to test packages of nearly any size and ensure the quality of their products. This expanded range empowers producers to maintain the highest quality standards across a wide variety of packaging formats.

The LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 is designed to test the leak-tightness of modified atmosphere packaging by detecting escaping CO2, a common component in such packages. The device creates a vacuum within the test chamber and if a leak is present, the protective gas escapes from the package and is immediately detected by CO2 sensors. The packaging remains intact during the test. 

The LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 delivers results in just a few seconds, providing significant time savings for inspectors. Depending on the packaging and test conditions, even the smallest leaks, as small as 10 micrometers, can be reliably detected. These are exactly the kinds of micro-leaks that often pose challenges for many manufacturers.

Operation of the LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 is straightforward and intuitive: simply place the product in the chamber, close the lid, and start the test via the touch display. The test runs automatically with a preset vacuum and defined test duration. LED illumination within the chamber provides clear visual feedback: green indicates leak-proof packaging, while red signals a detected leak.

The LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 features a compact design that requires minimal space. The standard version operates with compressed air, utilizing a durable, low-maintenance Venturi nozzle to generate the vacuum, significantly reducing operating costs. For added flexibility, an electric vacuum pump version is available for all chamber sizes.

All measurement results, including date, time, product details, and tester identification, are automatically stored and can be exported for archiving or further analysis, such as with MS-Excel®. The LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 manages up to 1,200 products and supports up to 60 users with names, passwords, and barcodes.
