Just three months after introducing nutpods in PCC Natural Markets and on Amazon, Green Grass Foods, Inc. recently announced that the dairy-free creamer made from almonds and coconuts has sold out thanks to high demand. The next nutpods production run is complete, and Green Grass Foods expects to have Original and French Vanilla flavors back in stock in within a week. In the meantime, nutpods are exclusively available at PCC Natural Markets in the Seattle area.
nutpods hit the market in May following a successful Kickstarter campaign by Green Grass Foods founder and CEO Madeline Haydon to create the only unsweetened, dairy-free creamer with the consistency of real cream. "We conservatively estimated that our first production run would last until September, but our repurchase rate was much higher than we anticipated," Haydon says. "Once people tried nutpods, they bought it again!"
Important influencers are taking notice. Steph Davis, a vegan who is one of the most successful professional rock climbers in the world, wrote this review of nutpods on Amazon recently: "I can't believe how wonderful nutpods is -- it's creamy and it doesn't change the flavor of my coffee with sweetener! I haven't been able to really enjoy creamy coffee since 2004, so this is pretty exciting :) Thank you Nutpods for a revolutionary and phenomenal product!!"
As the company replenishes its stock of the creamer that's winning dairy-free fans, including Paleo followers and vegans, at an unprecedented rate, they continue to move forward with product development and distribution. Namely, Green Grass Foods will launch a Hazelnut flavor later in September in response to customer requests. Additionally, later this fall nutpods will expand to additional grocery stores up and down the west coast.
Until nutpods is restocked on Amazon, the company is holding a giveaway for one lucky social media follower. Fans and followers of nutpods on Facebook and Instagram can enter to win two cartons of each flavor by simply posting a photo that shows how much they love nutpods and including the hashtag #nutpodsforyou. Haydon and her team will pick a winner on Tuesday, September 8th.
"We believe that if you try us, you'll love us," says Haydon. "We created nutpods as if we were a consumer, so quality and taste are everything to us, just as they are to our customers."
