The versatile product platform, called the square bag, supports diverse consumer goods applications, including the packaging of food, wine, laundry detergent, pet food and motor oil. 

 

The square bag, which is constructed of advanced barrier films in multiple layers, offers exceptional product protection. It securely packages powders and granular materials weighing up to 10 lbs. and liquids up to 1.5 gallons.

In addition, Young notes that the square bag is lighter and less bulky than conventional packaging materials, providing brand packagers with key sustainability benefits. It takes up less space on pallets and trucks, potentially reducing transportation and storage costs. 

 

 

Versatile Features

 

The square bag accommodates a huge range of packaging requirements. Depending on the application, it can be fitted with a spout, zipper, slider or hook and loop opening, with label handles on different panels. The bag carries graphics and product information on all six panels. The various panels can be made with up to three different film materials. 

 

The versatile bag adapts easily to all common filling lines and requires no special filling technology. Filling is done through a spout or extended lips on the bag’s top or bottom. The bag can also be supplied on rails for use on automated filling lines.
