TC Transcontinental Packaging has announced that two collaborative customer projects, the Cabot Creamery Vermont Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese 8 oz Bar package and the limited-edition HERSHEY’S KISSES® Pokémon collaboration foils, have earned prestigious PAC Global Awards recognizing excellence in packaging innovation, sustainability and design. 

Announced on February 19 at the PAC Global Futures Edge Summit in Toronto, Canada, the Cabot Creamery package received top honors in the Package Circularity and Carbon Reduction category, while the HERSHEY’S KISSES® Pokémon collaboration was recognized in the Limited Edition category. Together, the award-winning projects demonstrate how strategic partnership, product development expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities are shaping the next generation of high-performance, sustainable packaging solutions.

Developed in partnership with Cabot Creamery and the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center, the 8 oz cheddar bar package incorporates 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin while maintaining the barrier protection, seal integrity and machinability required for dairy applications. 

The package preserves Cabot’s iconic red plaid branding while clearly communicating its “30% PCR” content, supported by verified life cycle assessment (LCA) data. The result is environmental progress, operational reliability and consumer trust in one integrated design. 

The limited-edition HERSHEY’S KISSES® Pokémon collaboration demonstrates the power of advanced print technology and manufacturing precision to create immersive consumer experiences at scale. The program featured 151 unique foil designs—each representing an original Kanto region Pokémon character—printed on approximately 9 µm aluminum foil. 

Using a 10-deck flexographic press configuration (eight colors plus primer and overprint varnish), TC Transcontinental Packaging achieved vibrant, high-coverage artwork at the production speeds required for a global brand. 

Across both projects, TC Transcontinental Packaging’s integrated platform, spanning material development and premedia through advanced printing and converting, delivered solutions that aligned sustainability goals with brand storytelling and supply chain performance.
