Ampac (ampac.com), a division of ProAmpac and the world’s leader in creative packaging solutions, has won an Alufoil trophy for a new product innovation.

The EZY Pro 10, a protein drink concentrate in a shaped stand-up pouch, won in the Consumer Convenience category. The Alufoil Trophy, sponsored by the European Aluminum Foil Association, is a global award competition open to companies that make products ‘which are either made from aluminum foil or contain aluminum foil as part of a laminate, structure or packaging system.’ Only 12 entries were chosen to receive the Alufoil Trophy within six different categories.

EZY Pro 10 is a transportable disposable protein shake that contains only powder, needing only liquid to create the drink shake. Liquid is added until it reaches the line on the back of the shake, and the pouch is then shaken for thirty seconds. The EZY Pro 10 design is a stand-up pouch with a spout, as well as being a convenient shape for a protein drink.

Because EZY Pro 10 is sold as a pouch containing only protein powder with a two year shelf-life, at a total weight of 43 grams, the convenient pouch will save on storage costs as well as transportation costs, which is an environmentally friendly stand-up pouch concept.
