Specialty snacks redesign includes pouch packaging

Lush Gourmet Foods specialty snack line gets new pouch packaging design

Ferris Coffee & Nut Company, a Michigan-based coffee roaster and plant-grown products distributor, recently launched new packaging and recipe for its specialty line of snacks, Lush Gourmet Foods. Packaging features include a breakdown of ingredients, delicious pairing suggestions and pouches that make the line more consistent and approachable.

Lush Gourmet Foods offers a unique selection of handcrafted nuts and trail mixes featuring incredible flavor combinations such as Coconut Lavender almonds and Espresso peanuts. Products are sensitive to dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free and vegan lifestyles. The new recipe reduces sugar by one-third, allowing the delicious flavors to be more prominent while still maintaining a great crunch.

"Our customer base has evolved and grown over the years, and there is a clear market demand for healthier snacking options, especially ones that include less sugar," says Bisera Urdarevik, founder of Lush Gourmet Foods and product developer for Ferris Coffee & Nut Co. "With the interests and desires of our consumers in mind, our team worked to update our recipes without sacrificing the exceptional flavors we're known for."

The clean aesthetic of the new pouches matches the clean list of ingredients. The intention behind the design succeeds in elevating the package's shelf presence and better reflects the quality of the product inside, along with a clear window for prime transparency.
