Velcro Brand Press-Lok to Enhance Scotts EZ Seed Bag Closures
Velcro Industries announces its partnership with The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, to enhance packaging for Scotts EZ Seed grass seed. The world’s leading marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products selected Velcro Brand Press-Lok closure technology to provide consumers with greater ease of access and superior closure assurance for spill protection.
Scotts and Velcro Industries worked with manufacturer Peel Plastics Products Ltd., a recognized leader in product and process innovation, to integrate Velcro Industries’ innovative Press-Lok closure technology into Scotts’ grass seed package. Available in the 10-pound and 14.5-pound sizes, the new packaging offers gardeners more reliable closure assurance, helping to extend the shelf-life of the grass seed, season after season. The Press-Lok closure addresses any chance of package misalignment by containing a series of interlocking micro features that connect at multiple levels, even after repeated use.
