Impact Recycling will open the new facility to process hard-to-recycle flexible plastics, typically used in food packaging, into pellets which can be used to make new flexible products such as postbags and refuse bags. 

The ceremony took place at the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Amsterdam, where Cellulotech Co-Founder and CEO Romain Metivet received the Award from Tim Sykes, Brand Director of Packaging Europe, and Luciana Pellegrino, President-elect of the World Packaging Organization.

This new offering is just one of the many options ProAmpac’s ProActive Sustainability platform provides retailers and brands looking for innovative solutions to meet their circular economy goals.

The technology offers an alternative that is not only highly efficient, but also conserves resources.

Cooperation enables seaweed snack packaging made with renewable raw materials, and additional applications are planned.

The third-party certification verifies mass balance chain of custody and traceability from raw materials to finished products.

The pair will work together to address new customer needs in the personal care & Homecare Institutional and Industrial (HI&I) markets, as well as develop new opportunities and partnerships in the packaging space.
