Dow (dowpackaging.com) has launched the call for entries for its Packaging Innovation Awards, an independently judged program that previously operated under the DuPont name until 2018. Winners must show advances in technology, customer experience and responsible packaging across the industry.

The Awards program is the industry’s longest-running independently judged awards program. An international panel of independent judges from many disciplines will be assembled to provide a global perspective across design, engineering, retail, e-commerce, converting and academia.

Last year’s program featured 200-plus entries from companies in more than 30 countries and resulted in nine Diamond Finalist winners, eight Gold Award winners and 11 Silver Award winners, in addition to the best-in-class Diamond Award winner. Procter & Gamble’s Aeroflexx Liquid Packaging Technology took the top prize for using advanced technology to increase resource efficiency while improving the user experience.

Entry in this year’s competition is free, and applicants are not required to use Dow or DuPont materials in their products. All entries must be commercial products that have been on the market for more than one year beginning in 2015 or later.

Submissions will be accepted at DowPackagingAwards.com until Friday, March 29,  2019.
