Our poll last month asked, “What is the best way to improve packaging sustainability?”

Votes were tallied and we have a clear choice: increasing the use of recycled materials, at 41 percent. Second was to stop using plastics, and third was to eliminate single-use packaging.

The least responses were:  more effort in lightweighting containers and taxing/restricting certain packaging types.

It seems the packaging world also believes that something has to be done about global packaging waste. Nowadays, there are many sustainable options for packaging products from prepared foods and beverages, to cosmetics and household cleaners.
