The Pouch-Up®, already winner of the Starpack in the UK and holder of the Packaging Oscar, keeps on reaping the prizes. The World Packaging Organization (WPO) has decided to grant to Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box (www.smurfitkappa.com) the Worldstar Packaging Award 2011/2012 in the category of packaging beverages for the successful Manchester Drinks cocktails Mojito and Cosmopolitan.

The WorldStar Competition is, since 1970, the flagship event of the WPO. This year, the jury, made up of 23 representatives of WPO and a representative of the International Organization of the Packaging Press, considered the candidacy of 243 products from 32 countries in seven different categories. The jury compared the registered products with other similar packagings of the market and rewarded those they considered superior in terms of performance or innovation.

The Pouch - Up® convinced the jury with its attractive design, film performance, ease of use and low carbon footprint. Available in 1.5L and 3L, all of its surface formats can be printed in high resolution flexo allowing a perfect identification of the brand on the shelf.
