OEC Graphics, a 100-year-old family-run premedia company, is proud to announce the 25th anniversary of their exclusive Seamex® ITR sleeve.

Introduced to the North American marketplace in 1991, Seamex was the first seamless, continuous photopolymer sleeve produced in-the-round.  OEC went on to become the first North American company to introduce digital ITR sleeves and digital plates with the installation of the Digilas laser in 1996.

The Seamex product line has evolved to include SeamexBlanks. These imagable sleeves are manufactured to a printer’s specific needs as well as our most popular product, Seamex2. Seamex2 utilizes a unique manufacturing process that eliminates grinding photopolymer, resulting in finer dot control in a process sleeve. Nathan Rank, OEC’s Corporate Plateroom and ITR Manager, further explains "The newest flexo printing plate capabilities are not just limited to flat polymer plates. Seamex sleeves offer exclusive flat top technology and high resolution screening options, which are of the most advanced in the industry.”

Seamex continues to be the industry standard with over 50,000 sleeves in the marketplace, making OEC Graphics the largest photopolymer sleeve manufacturer in North America. Jack Schloesser, OEC’s CEO, shares his thoughts, “A quarter century of Seamex is quite an accomplishment. I’m proud of the fact that OEC leads the photopolymer ITR industry. Seamex has successfully been able to adapt and anticipate a growing and dynamic market with our dedication to innovation over the past 25 years.”
