On the eve before PACK EXPO, Sun Chemical and Windmoeller & Hoelscher will co-host a special event – “Transform Your Packaging with COLOR” – for brand owners, converters and designers that will review trends and showcase the impact of color on packaging for shelf standout.

Held on Nov. 5 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in a relaxed setting at R5 Chicago, a new consumer insights and innovation lab located in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant West Loop, the event will feature four guest speakers who will:

• discuss trends that support the importance of color in package design,
• show how color can be used effectively on packaging,
• talk about the importance of color in the initial design concept,
• explore key factors that should be discussed with a printer during the package design process, and
• explain what tools a printer relies on to ensure precision with each project.

Charles Murray, president of North American Inks at Sun Chemical, will be one of the speakers at the event as well as Ronald DeVlam from the packaging design agency, Webb deVlam; David Luttenberger from the marketing intelligence agency, Mintel; and Tom Apple from the press manufacturer, Windmoeller & Hoelscher. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A featuring an expert panel of design and printer/converter professionals.
