Leading packaging converter makes $2 million investment in 25,000-square-foot facility.

It is incumbent upon all members of a food supply chain to understand the definitions, parameters and requirements associated with programs and environments that assure the safety and suitability of food, food packaging, related materials and processes.

In addition to the farm’s John Deere tractors, the Deckers have invested in a small-scale packaging line for their fast growing popcorn business. This has allowed Farmers Best to package its product where it is grown, on the family farm.

The goal of the initiative is to bring together stakeholders from business, politics, research and not-for-profit organizations, thus encouraging constructive dialogue in the search for solutions to curb food loss along the food chain.

To help craft the packaging for this special ALS Association charitable endeavor, Heaven Hill Distilleries selected their long-time supply partner Saxco International, LLC.
