Schubert North America moves into new Charlotte headquarters

Entering a new era, Schubert North America recently celebrated the construction of its new headquarters in Charlotte, N.C. The facility is designed to support Schubert’s continued growth across the United States and Canada, as well as serve as a hub for sales, engineering, service, customer training and final assembly of Schubert’s packaging machines.
The headquarters is approximately 45,000 square feet and is located on a 7.36-acre site. It was designed to enhance customer support while also providing room for future expansion. Upon completion, customers will be able to participate in the final machine acceptance testing, operator training and service activities locally in Charlotte, reducing the need for overseas travel.
“North America continues to be one of Schubert’s most important growth markets,” said Hartmut Siegel, CEO of Schubert North America, in a statement. “Our new headquarters allows us to be even closer to our customers while expanding our capabilities for machine assembly, commissioning, service and training. The investment reinforces our long-term commitment to supporting manufacturers throughout North America.”
Designed in accordance with Schubert’s global Mission Blue sustainability initiative, the facility incorporates numerous features aligned with Leadership in Energy and Environmental (LEED) standards. The energy-efficient design reflects Schubert’s ongoing commitment to sustainability while providing a modern, collaborative environment for employees and customers alike.
Aside from expanded office space, the headquarters will include the following:
- Final assembly and commissioning of Schubert packaging machines
- A dedicated service workshop
- Customer training facilities
- Engineering, sales and technical support operations
- Capacity for future expansion as customer demand continues to grow throughout North America
The construction project was led by CoxSchepp Construction, a Charlotte-based construction firm with experience delivering commercial projects throughout the Southeast.
Since establishing its North American headquarters in Charlotte in 2015, the company says it has experienced significant growth — driven by increasing demand for flexible, intelligent packaging automation solutions. The new headquarters represents Schubert’s next milestone in that journey, further emphasizing the company’s ability to provide local expertise, faster response times and expanded support for manufacturers throughout the region. It represents Schubert’s continued investment in innovation, customer partnerships and the future of packaging automation in North America as well. The company will mark the significant milestone with a Grand Opening celebration planned for early spring 2027.
Schubert North America is a subsidiary of the Gerhard Schubert Group, a global leader in top-loading packing automation.
