Study: High-visibility packaging demand to rise
U.S.
demand for high-visibility packaging is projected to expand 4% yearly to $8.5
billion in 2012, which will surpass 33 billion units and create demand for 1.1
billion pounds of plastic resin, according to a new study from the Freedonia
Group.
The study says that food will continue to account for more than half of the high-visibility packaging market in 2012. Of the different groups’ expected growth through 2012, tubs/cups/bowls/other was highest at 5.6%, with clamshells, windowed packaging and skin packaging at 5.0%, 2.1% and 2.0%, respectively.
