Association management firm Kellen Company (www.kellencompany.com) was recently selected to provide management services to The World Packaging Organization (WPO;www.worldpackaging.org).

WPO represents over 116,000 members representing 41 countries - members are institutes and associations like the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP). Founded September 6, 1968 by visionary leaders from the global packaging community, the objectives of WPO include:
  •      Encouraging the development of packaging technology, science, access and engineering;

  •      Contributing to the development of international trade;  

  •      Stimulating education and training in packaging; and

  •      Encouraging “Better Quality of Life through Better Packaging for more people.”
The primary activities of WPO today are to promote education through meetings, special activities and publications; to sponsor an international packaging design awards program; and to facilitate contact and exchange among the various national packaging institutes.

WPO recently launched World Packaging News, an e-newsletter and online publication providing a valuable resource to WPO members, with editorial written by renowned international packaging editors, tackling global packaging issues.
