VIPColor Technologies, a manufacturer of digital printing solutions, announces the introduction of the VP495, a print-on-demand solution that generates labels that look great and are perfect for outdoor and harsh environments.

In the last few years there has been an increase in the availability of on-demand color label printers. However, these solutions are not generally suitable for outdoor use or just lack the resolution to be able to generate a professional looking label.

Now VIPColor introduces the VP495, which produces labels that are not only perfect for outdoor use, but also stand up to chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, Windex, Petroleum based cleaners and others (result will vary with media type). It prints up to eight inches wide at 1200 dpi and is designed to handle a ten inch external diameter label roll. There are no additional costs or processes needed like coating or lamination. Just print and the labels are ready for use, come rain or shine.

The VP495 is designed with large separate ink tanks. Each separate ink color can be changed discretely and are operated in conjunction with long-life print heads. This greatly reduces the frequency of replacements as well as the unnecessary waste and costs associated with tri-color ink cartridges that users face today.

The VP495 enables companies to produce color labels in-house, exactly when and where they are needed, with the exact content and quantity required. Ideal for the production of GHS, horticultural, chemical, hardware, chilled food and beverage labels. The VP495 can also generate customize product and package labels with variable color, images, text and barcode content.
