PMMI (pmmi.org), The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, announced the launch of PMMI Media Group (PMG) — a market-leading B2B media company with print and digital offerings that produce business intelligence and connect processing and packaging customers with solution providers every day.

The creation of PMG includes the integration of the staff of the former Summit Media Group and their decades of knowledge and experience into the PMMI family, with PMG's editorial department continuing to operate independently out of its current Chicago, Illinois, home.

A year-round home for the processing and packaging community, PMMI Media Group's leading edge media technologies function as an interactive knowledge exchange for the processing and packaging supply chain, providing platforms for subject-matter experts to collaborate, solve problems and share solutions in real-time. In addition to its world-class publications — Packaging World, Automation World, Healthcare Packaging, Contract Packaging and the newly launched Packaging + Processing OEM — PMG offers playbooks and interactive media to engage audiences and foster communication throughout the industry.

"PMMI Media Group strengthens PMMI by supporting our PACK EXPO trade shows, adding a critical asset to our portfolio of member resources and providing new channels through which we can communicate and serve as the thought leader in the industry," says PMMI President and CEO Charles D. Yuska. "PMG is a 365-day-a-year community that expands trade show engagement and connects solution providers and end-users helping them to improve their business."

"We're very excited to incorporate the global PMMI brand within the Media Group name," says Joe Angel, president, PMMI Media Group. "We have made tremendous progress since the November 1 acquisition and we have only scratched the surface in aligning the PMG products and services to offer year-round engagement for the packaging community. Our portfolio of exclusive tools — world-class events, business intelligence, education and workforce development resources — will help companies in the processing and packaging supply chain discover best practices and grow their business."
