Pro Mach acquires Stork-Texwrap, a leading manufacturer of automatic shrink wrapping systems

February 23, 2016

Pro Mach, Inc. (promachinc.com), an industry-leading integrated packaging solutions company, has acquired Stork-Texwrap (texwrap.com), an innovative manufacturer of fully automatic shrink wrapping systems. The addition of Stork-Texwrap expands Pro Mach’s rapidly growing secondary packaging product line and offers customers another industry leading solution to support their end of line packaging operations. Pro Mach will continue to leverage the Texwrap brand and maintain their current facility in Washington, Missouri.

Known for their reliability, Texwrap manufactures high-quality automated shrink wrap systems, including a full line of shrink wrappers, L-bar sealers, side sealers, tunnels, infeed solutions, and conveyors. They are a trusted partner across a variety of industries and have served numerous food, bakery, industrial, pharmaceutical, and printing companies worldwide. Texwrap has been developing standard and custom shrink wrap packaging solutions for nearly 40 years.

Stork Fabricators, a full service metal fabrication shop housed at the Stork-Texwrap facility, will also continue to operate and provide custom services including plasma and waterjet cutting, as well as CNC machining including laser, punch, turning, milling, press brakes, and more for a variety of industrial, commercial, military, and aerospace applications.

“We’re pleased to welcome the Stork-Texwrap team to Pro Mach,” says Mark Anderson, Pro Mach president and CEO. “Pro Mach and Texwrap share a common tradition for customer service and product excellence. Their products strengthen our core technology offering and allow us to serve a wider range of customers with an established and trusted brand.”

Texwrap brings to the table a nationwide network of highly trained packaging distributor partners. These existing partnerships allow Pro Mach to strengthen their distributed products footprint with one of the most comprehensive product lines in the business with solutions for case and tray forming/sealing, pallet stretch wrapping, and now shrink wrapping through key brands Wexxar/BEL, IPak, Orion, and now Texwrap. Ultimately this offers all distribution channel partners a more complete product portfolio to sell and support and allows Pro Mach to reach the broadest base of customers possible.

The Texwrap team will join Pro Mach’s End of Line Group led by Gary Evans. Reporting to Evans will be Brian Stork, vice president and general manager of Texwrap.

“Texwrap has an excellent product line and talented people that complement our existing capabilities and customer base,” says Evans. “And, their knack for solving customer problems using cost-effective and proven technology makes them a great addition to our End of Line Group. Their solutions also give Pro Mach one of the strongest and most thorough distributed product lines in the industry. As Pro Mach continues to grow, additions like this only strengthen our position as a world leader in packaging machinery solutions and customer service.”

“The net result is a win-win for our customers and team,” says Robert Stork, founder of Stork-Texwrap. “Pro Mach has a strong reputation for investing in its brands and creating a support network that benefits its customers. This will help ensure the continued growth of the Texwrap brand, while also introducing both Pro Mach and our customers to new packaging opportunities.”

Pro Mach is a premier packaging and processing machinery manufacturer and integrated system provider, with nearly 30 equipment brands sold throughout the world. In addition to end of line packaging, Pro Mach manufactures and integrates solutions for bottling and capping, primary and secondary packaging, flexible packaging, labeling and coding, and material handling. Pro Mach continues to grow rapidly with a global customer base and operations in North America and Europe. Pro Mach also has a Shared Services facility in Mexico to better serve Latin American customers.
