EDL Packaging Engineer’s (EDL, edlpackaging.com) has entered into a partnership with General Packer LTD., Aichi, Japan, as the exclusive North American distributor of its pouch filling-sealing machines.  As part of its agreement EDL will manage the sale, installation, spare parts and post-installation services for General Packer.

This partnership aims to meet consumer demand for North American producers to transition from rigid packaging into a flexible packaging format. Dry good producers of milled grains, ancient grains, health foods, frozen and IQF foods, candies, pet food and treats, medicines, and medical supplies can expect:

• Economical filling and sealing packaging equipment.
• Extensive experience, research and development in the development of Oxygen Reduction through the use of Nitrogen gas flushing and full wash-down systems, and bag and pouch bundling.
• Total integrated packaging line solutions.
• Performance guarantee and commitment to local spare parts and after-sales service.

General Packer customers in North America will be serviced from Green Bay, WI, by a combination of trained EDL resources, an experienced General Packer service technician and General Packer’s North American representative.
