Eco activists have launched a new round of attacks on bottled water companies. The duo behind rolled out an ad campaign this summer with statements like “Bottled water causes blindness in puppies” that they readily admit are lies-a tactic to mock what the campaign considers the many untruths coming from water brands. As an example, the group points to the depiction of streams and pristine mountaintops on many water bottle labels when, in fact, that’s frequently not the source of the product.
