Miller Lite is testing a 16oz aluminum pint bottle throughout much of the Midwest and South through the end of the year, focusing on the convenience retail channel. The resealable bottles feature a wide 38mm opening, said to provide a smooth flow, and are 100 percent recyclable. “This package drinks like a bottle and cools like a can,” says Grant Leech, vice president of marketing for Miller Lite. For those counting, 16 ounces does indeed make a pint-an American one. English pints top out at 20 ounces. (Bottle: Ball Corporation, www.ball.com)
