When hairstylist Ric Pipino decided to launch his own line of haircare products, he wanted them to reflect the way he cuts hair. Revolution in Cut, or RIC, haircare products were made for a woman’s specific haircut, not just hair type. The bottles feature a stark, white background and illustrations of women with various hairstyles. The products were meant to look professional, but be simple to use, with the aim of teaching consumers how to maintain their haircuts at home. Featuring informative images and personal tips from Ric, the line was designed to resemble an instruction beauty manual.
