HMSDesign, a branding and packaging firm specializing in the development and management of brand imagery, today announced the appointment of design industry veteran Patrick Sullivan as creative director.

The consumer packaged goods (CPG) design veteran brings 20 years of experience to HMSDesign. In his new role, Sullivan will provide account management and creative services leadership — overseeing creative processes, operations and teams — as well as help drive business development efforts.

“HMSDesign is led by design,” says Hugh Montgomery, principal, HMSDesign. “Patrick brings a deep design expertise as he has worked with a broad spectrum of CPG clients. We look forward to his leadership and creative contributions, as we continue to help fuel our clients’ growth.”

Sullivan joins HMSDesign from brand agency CBX in New York City, where, as associate creative director, he was responsible for direction and management of design initiatives, account relationships and staff development. Sullivan’s key accounts included Big Heart Brands (formerly Del Monte Pet), ConAgra, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Kimberly Clark, and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.

A resident of Trumbull, Connecticut, Sullivan is a graduate of Sacred Heart University with a double major in graphic design and illustration.
