Sonoco Honored with Awards for Outstanding Merchandising Achievement
Sonoco, one of the largest diversified global packaging companies, has announced that its display and packaging division won four awards at the Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) 56th annual Outstanding Merchandising Achievement (OMA) Awards competition.
Sonoco’s four OMA awards included:
• Gold award, temporary division, food category — Nestlé Coffee-mate 2GO launch floorstand display
• Silver award, temporary division, food category — Nestlé Skinny Cow Iced Coffee launch displays
• Silver award, temporary division, home and garden category — Robert Bosch Dremel Micro8050 national launch displays
• Bronze award, semi-permanent division, mass merchandise retailer category — Nestlé NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto inline demonstrator for Target
POPAI’s annual OMA competition recognizes the most innovative and effective retail promotions. Approximately 508 entries from 93 companies were judged in 27 industry categories during this year’s competition, held during GlobalShop 2015 in Las Vegas. Entries were judged on innovation, interactivity, design and the proven ability to lift sales.
