Just in time for the new Minions movie taking the summer box office, General Mills teamed up with the Minions to offer exclusive Minions Buddies in every specially marked box of General Mills cereals.

General Mills is connecting fans with what they love. Hidden inside each box, customers will find one of six select Minions Buddies to hit the big screen. Minions and cereal fans alike can collect all six Buddies in each participating brand of General Mills cereals, including Honey Nut Cheerios, Banana Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese’s Puffs, Trix and Golden Grahams.

General Mills has been surprising families with free prizes in cereal boxes for more than 80 years. From secret wrist bands to whistles, and mini license plates to free paint sets, getting something special inside the box is part of the heritage of iconic General Mills cereal brands including, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

The specially marked boxes of Big G cereals first went on shelves beginning in June, and will be available for a limited time only. The Minions fun doesn’t stop with participating General Mills cereals: The Minions have additionally taken over specially marked boxes of your favorite fruit flavored snacks at retailers near you, including Gushers, Fruit Roll-Ups and Fruit by the Foot. From Gushers made with the Minions signature colors to themed comic strips on your Fruit by the Foot to customizable pirate accessories for Fruit Roll-Ups Minion cut-outs, consumers can enjoy family fun that promotes imaginative and cognitive play — plus even more Minions fun on each box with games and clues to solve puzzles.
