FoodStory Brands worked with Minneapolis-based packaging design firm, Mackey Creative, on the packaging design for the launch of Cocktail Artist—a new line of 15 mixologist-inspired craft cocktail mixes and bar ingredients.
“What Mackey came up with for Cocktail Artist’s packaging turned out to be a showstopper,” said FoodStory Brands President, Jay Whitney. Mackey’s Designer and Illustrator, Angelica McFarlane said that she “wanted to capture a vibrant and creative energy with bright pops of color, fresh typography and artistic treatment.”
Mixologist images were transformed into a Warhol-inspired digital painting for the bottle design. Each illustration is customized to the individual mixologist, making every bottle completely unique.
According to Mackey’s Creative Director, Dave Ahlers, “Cocktail Artist had it all: a unique trending product, great taste and award-winning mixologists who would be our sales voice. We kept it bright, fresh and hip, and most importantly, we nailed our target market: ‘the at-home bartender’ like you and me.”
