In 1963, the Loiacono family opened the first SNO-BALLS TO-GO® stand where they sold softly shaved ice flavored with colorful, intensely flavored syrups.  In 2011, the family launched the first prepackaged SNO-BALLS TO-GO in four flavors.  SNO-BALLS TO-GO was originally packaged in a traditional paper rolled pint, but soon there were issues with the sealing of the packaging and the result was that the products were leaking and drying out. SNO-BALLS TO-GO chose to shift to an in-mold label (IML) packaging with a one-of-a-kind look.

The new, IML package stands out on the shelf and highlights the details in the artwork thanks to the combination of Matte and UltraGloss IML. What’s more, the in-mold labels are moisture-resistant, lending itself to a near ideal application with frozen products. Now, you can enjoy the treat in 14 different flavors.

With the help of packaging supplier Berry, and label supplier Verstraete, the new SNO-BALLS TO-GO package was well received by consumers. Not only is this new package eye-catching, it is also fully recyclable with the package and label made of polypropylene.
