We recently sat down with SOMIC Packaging’s Peter Fox to discuss secondary packaging for dairy. “The new slice line is needed to keep pace with the organic growth of our existing customers, and the overall strong demand for slices in both retail and food service packs,” said Jeff Gentine, Master Gallery Food’s second-generation president and CEO.

As the cheese market continues to expand, the company now offers more automated packaging options than ever before.

SOMIC Packaging has experienced tremendous growth since moving from the Chicago area to nearby Eagan in January 2018.

Prior to purchasing the pair of SOMIC case packing systems, Once Upon a Farm’s co-packers used manual labor to handle the products.
