Processing and packaging equipment manufacturers face a common challenge, regardless of the markets they serve: Avoiding the commodity trap - i.e., going beyond pricing to set products apart from the competition. According to PMMI’s May 2012 edition of  “Key Attributes of Packaging and Processing Machinery and Suppliers,” study, services including line integration and a supplier’s solutions-focused approach are among end users’ leading purchasing considerations.

Undoubtedly, a focus on total system solutions is critical to meeting end-user needs; 54% of packaging professionals and 50% of plant managers are calling line integration solutions core purchasing strategies.
