Di-El Tack Ltd. introduces Bend-Seal, a low cost way to reclose flexible packages in order to eliminate spillage, retain product freshness and keep out moisture. Bend-Seal is applied in-line onto virtually any packaging material at rates of up to 400 units per minute and does not require any alteration to the existing package. This internationally patent-pending device allows for reclosing and opening a package an average of 20 times and adds only pennies to the total cost of packaging.
Bend-Seal is comprised of a 5/32-inch x 2-1/4 inch metal strip attached to an adhesive strip. After opening the package, folding the open end of the package twice causes Bend-Seal’s metal strip to effectively reclose the package by preventing the folded end from unfolding. Bend-Seal’s special adhesive keeps the strip in place until the package is discarded. Because the adhesive plays no role in the reclosing process, it can be used with powders and frozen foods.
This innovative product is engineered for use on Form Fill & Seal, Flow Pack, etc. and can be applied to virtually any bag material such as film and paper. It can also be applied to any type of flexible package including pillow, stand-up pouch and tray-in-bag packaging. It is ideal for closing packages containing items such as ground coffee, soap powders, snacks, candy, nuts, frozen foods and chilled products as well as many other products.
