New meat packaging features easy open technology
Sealed Air’s(www.sealedair.com) Cryovac® brand announces the new Next Gen Boneless Beef Bag, BZ6620, with QuickRip™ Easy Open Technology. The QuickRip Easy Open Technology helps processors and retailers eliminate issues in their meat departments, including worker safety, cross contamination, and damage to expensive cuts of meat. The Next Generation Boneless Beef Bag recently won an AmeriStar Award for Institutional Food Packaging from theInstitute of Packaging Professionals(IoPP) (www.iopp.org).
More than 150 packages were submitted for IoPP AmeriStar awards consideration. Judges evaluated and analyzed packages from 18 categories based on package innovation, sustainability, protection, economics, performance and marketing. Winning packages were honored at the AmeriStar Awards Reception and Dinner at the Marriott Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont, IL.
