A single-serve wine package for travel and outdoor events recently won a DuPont Award for packaging innovation. Copa Di Vino, The Dalles, Ore., comes in a plastic drinking glass with a peelable lid. The wine is packaged in a proprietary process, developed in France for consumption on long-distance trains, that seals the wineglass without heat or pressure, which could damage the wine. The design was won several awards, including champion bottle in the World Championships of Wine Packaging by the Beverage Tasting Institute and a silver in the DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation.
