Adhesive equipment supplier Nordson Corp. has named Olivier Huss labeling market development manager in the company’s adhesive dispensing division. Huss will be responsible for Nordson’s non-contact adhesive dispensing systems in labeling applications across North America.
Packaging machinery supplier PDC Int’l Corp. has named Dan Capell western regional sales manager. Capell will head PDC’s office in Anaheim, Calif.
TAPPI, a trade association for the pulp, paper and converting industries, will give Michael (Andy) Easley an Outstanding TAPPI Local Section Member Award during the PaperCon ’09 Conference in St. Louis. Easley is manufacturing services manager at the Coosa Pines, Ala., facility of AbitibiBowater.
The Sidel Group is the supplier of blow molds for Coca-Cola’s new On-the-Go easy-grip polyethylene terephthalate bottle. Sidel has furnished about 2,000 molds for the bottle, which debuted in China in 2007, then migrated to Europe and finally the Americas.
