Intelligrated and SDI Group USA join for business venture
The
companies launch material handling systems business operations in Brazil.
Intelligrated (www.intelligrated.com) and SDI Group USA (www.sdiindustries.com) announce the launch of a new jointly owned and managed operation in Sao Paulo state, Brazil. The two companies are combining their sales, engineering, project management, customer service and spare parts support capabilities under one Brazilian company to provide in-country material handling system solutions.
Intelligrated and SDI Group USA have worked together for many years in the U.S. and internationally to provide state-of-the-art integrated systems. SDI Group has been operating successfully in South America since 1992 and in Brazil for the last five years. Intelligrated identifies entering the South American material handling and supply chain markets as a strategic growth initiative that caters to increased demand for handling automation in the manufacturing and retail sectors in the region.
Brazil has one of the most advanced industrial sectors in Latin America. According to a Material Handling Industry of America outlook, the country’s exports have nearly doubled and imports have more than doubled over the last decade. The new joint SDI Group and Intelligrated operation benefits both Latin American and global customers with the best of both worlds as their market expands: access to globally recognized leaders in the material handling industry who can also navigate and respond to unique local demands.

The new facility is located in Jundiai in Sao Paulo state, mid-way between Campinas and Sao Paulo, to serve local demand from both manufacturing and distribution markets and support activities in the region. SDI Group Brazil’s Marcelo Bueno, who brings over 15 years of technology implementation experience and a solid understanding of material handling and global business development, will manage the facility. Bueno will be responsible for the success of the overall operations in Brazil.
