David Kerns becomes
manager of the production facility.
Constar International LLC,
a global producer of
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic containers and preforms for food and
beverages, has chosen David Kerns to serve as
plant manager of the Company’s Atlanta
production facility.
Prior to joining
Constar, Kerns was a plant manager for Trim masters, Inc., a joint venture of
Toyota Boshoku and Johnson Controls. Kerns has also held operation positions
with Johnson Controls, Kuhlman Plastic and Masco Corporation. Kerns brings to Constar extensive experience
and leadership in Lean Manufacturing, having helped previous employers improve
key operational metrics. In his new role with Constar, he is responsible for
driving efficiency and process improvement at the Atlanta
plant. Kerns is a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington,
West Virginia. Constar’s network of manufacturing locations includes
eight in the United State
and two in Europe. Constar manufactures PET
bottles, containers, preforms, and PET material used in packaging.
