OYSTAR PresidentOYSTAR USA (www.oystar-group.com)– whose parent company, OYSTAR Group, develops, manufactures and sells both complete packaging lines and individual machines for the dairy, food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals industries– has hired John W. Panaseny as the company’s new president.  A 25-year packaging industry veteran with an impressive track record for fomenting sales growth, Panaseny joins OYSTAR USA to build upon its established successes in the North American market.

In his new role, Panaseny will spearhead North American business and market development across the multiple industries served by OYSTAR USA. In doing so, he will oversee everything from team-building and sales goal-setting to strategic partnerships and company visibility at packaging industry conferences and events.

Prior to joining OYSTAR USA, Panaseny served as vice president and general manager for Multi-Pack Atlanta, where he oversaw more than 100 employees in two facilities producing over 30 million bottles of household cleaning products per year. Multi-Pack Atlanta saw double-digit growth in his first year, and doubled its customer base in his first three years.  Panaseny’s tenure with Multi-Pack Atlanta provided him with a deep understanding of the types of contract manufacturing and packaging facilities that, in his new role with OYSTAR USA, will be sought-after as potential customers.

Earlier in his career, Panaseny held sales managerial titles at two packaging machinery mainstays: R.A. Jones & Co., and Klockner Bartelt.

Panaseny is a member of several packaging industry organizations, including the Institute of Packaging Professionals. He is also a former program director at Saint Joseph’s University, where he developed and launched a successful one-year Executive MBA Program that still exists today.

“John [Panaseny] has a proven ability not only to boost sales, but also to promote enhanced customer relationships and forge strategic partnerships within the industry,” says Markus Ehl, CEO of OYSTAR Group. “We welcome him aboard and know he will help OYSTAR build upon its legacy of sales success driven by top-of-the-line packaging machinery.

Panaseny earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at the University of Rhode Island, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. A father of two daughters, he resides in Lawrenceville, NJ with his wife, Danielle.
