U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission LLC (ustsubaki.com) announces the launch of a new line of external backstops with significant advances in performance based on our innovative design.

Tsubaki spent many months testing and improving its backstop designs in response to data collected from customer visits, product inspections and in-house tests. These improvements showcase our dedication to designing and providing the highest quality backstops with features that meet the high performance customers demand.

The new and improved labyrinth seal design extends the life of the product by minimizing the ingress of dust and contaminants. Tsubaki also uses synthetic grease in place of oil to eliminate the need for oil level checks, routine lubricant inspections, regular oil testing and the breather element—a pathway for contaminants and moisture. The new BS-F backstops are designed with the smallest envelope dimensions available in the market. This assures quick and easy field installation when replacing other manufacturers’ backstops. The unique, non-roll over cam design offers the highest torque rating available. These key features provide a high level of performance with minimal maintenance—thus providing significant cost savings and improved performance.

Tsubaki offers a wide selection of backstops and clutch products designed to fit the needs of specific applications, including internal and external backstops as well as overrunning and indexing clutches.
