Park Supermarket is a concept by Rotterdam-based Van Bergen Kolpa Architects, which is trying to make better use of the local landscape, affected by climbing water tables, and reduce the emissions of food transport by designing a supermarket where all the food is cultivated and sold onsite. Small plots of about 2.5acres would grow a diversity of products, and area inhabitants would be invited to consume and recreate in the “Park Supermarket” landscape.
