For its grand opening in May, Thailand’s Heresod gift shop
created a line of t-shirts where the shirt and its packaging took design cues
from various supermarket foods. The pork-themed t-shirt, for instance, was sold
in a polystyrene tray, while the donut shirt was wrapped in the simple paper
packaging used by bakeries. Brands should take inspiration in the way Heresod
looked to other categories for its packaging concepts and in the way it
integrated product design with package design to create a novel shopping
experience. (Package design: Prompt Design,www.prompt-design.com)
