While packaging for the brand’s “Specialist” line extension features the trademark WD-40 shield, it breaks away from the iconic blue and red and is instead "professionally" dressed in black and silver-a design cue that should resonate with the new product’s audience.

 

“We're excited to have a new product line geared toward trade professionals under the WD-40 brand for the first time in our company's history,” says Tim Lesmeister, vice president of marketing, WD-40 Co.  
 

The line of five specialty products includes: Rust Release Penetrant Spray; Water Resistant Silicone Lubricant; Protective White Lithium Grease; Long-Term Corrosion Inhibitor; and Rust Remover Soak.
