The zero hour for nominations to BRANDPackaging’s annual Design Gallery competition is approaching quickly. With a deadline of Aug. 1 for submitting their best designs for consideration by their industry peers, many brand owners, agencies and designers are rushing to complete their entries.
Design Gallery is an exhibition and contest that showcases some of the best packaging designs brought to market within the last year. The packages that best meet the brand's purpose will run in BRANDPackaging’s special Design Gallery annual in December.
“Packaging speaks volumes about a product's and a brand's value and appeal,” says John Kalkowski, BRANDPackaging editor in chief. “We're looking for packaging that effectively tells a brand's story through design, graphics and structure. It must connect with the consumer.”
BRANDPackaging's readers will be able to vote online to choose the Design Gallery People's Choice awards during the period from Aug. 9, 2017, to Sept. 11, 2017. Five People's Choice trophies will be awarded — one trophy to the package in each category (glass, flexible, metal, rigid, paperboard) with the most votes. In addition, one package chosen from all the entries will win the Editor's Award.
Physical samples of all entries will be displayed and the awards will be distributed at a ceremony during the 2017 Packaging That Sells Conference, October 23-25 in Chicago.
