Xennia, a chemistry-driven inks company, specializes in inks printed onto atypical surfaces such as plastic films. In November at Pack Expo, it launched XenInx Onyx metallic silver ink for use in a wide range of digital decoration applications including packaging, graphics, labeling and product decoration. Formulations address porous or nonporous surfaces. The inks are available for converter/printers or packagers, and can be used to replace hot-stamp foil or metalized foil constructions.
The ink works with a wide range of piezo printheads, including Xennia printing systems and XenJet inkjet modules using Xennia’s proprietary recirculating ink jet technology.
