Sealed Air’s Cyrovac Food Packaging introduced the new Multi-Seal FoldLOK Reclosable package at the 2011 International Dairy-Deli Bakery Association (IDDB) show. The packaging uses advanced adhesive technology, which allows consumers easy open and easy close, with the ability to open and seal the package more than ten times with the adhesive still remaining functional.

To open, the consumer completely peels off a strip at the top of the bag. The bag can then be sealed by simply folding the top over. The materials stick together sealing it closed.

The new product will benefit various groups. Consumers will enjoy the convenience of a seal instead of a zipper and a ridge-less top for easy pouring. Retailers benefit from the new packaging due to its easy display and efficient use of space, resulting in more bags stocked on the shelf. Dairy processers can appreciate that the Multi-Seal FoldLOK package runs on existing equipment with minimal alterations and results in a 2 to 4 inch reduction in materials in most cases.

The Cryovac® Multi-Seal® FoldLOK package is available for shredded cheese applications ranging from 6 ounces to 2 pounds and features 10-color process print capabilities.
