Company receives 2010 Packaging Materials Supplier of the Year award from MillerCoors.

Inland Label, La Crosse, WI, one of the largest family-owned label printers in North America, received a 2010 Packaging Materials Supplier of the Year award from MillerCoors.

The award recognizes Inland’s contributions in areas such as quality, service, competitive cost, safety, corporate responsibility, and innovation. Inland will be honored with this award at the first annual MillerCoors Supplier Recognition Awards on May 10th, 2011 at MillerCoors’ headquarters in Chicago.

One of Inland’s largest accomplishments with MillerCoors has been the successful launch of the Coors Light label utilizing thermochromic ink, where the mountains in the label turn from white to blue once the beer reaches its ideal drinking temperature.

In February 2011, it launched the newest version of this label, known as Coors Super Cold. Super Cold labels have two areas of thermochromic ink that turn blue at different temperatures, indicating when the beer is cold enough to drink, then when it is at its ultimate drinking temperature (super cold). This technology and brand campaign has positioned Coors Light to overtake Budweiser in 2011 as the second highest-selling beer brand in the United States.

“A strong focus on quality, customer service, and innovation is what really has shaped our company into who we are today,” said Mark Glendenning, president and CEO of Inland. “Earning this distinguished award from MillerCoors demonstrates our commitment and passion for building strong, winning relationships with our customers.”
